Introduction

Central Java, as one of the provinces in Indonesia is located exactly in the Center of Java Island. It borders with West Java province with east java province. One the part of the southern lies side also the province of Yogyakarta Special Region.

Central Java is one of the Java civilizations, undoubtedly one of distinctive cultures by the human race. Visible evidence of the civilization is still found, not only on archeological relic of the days.

In the terms of Javanese arts and crafts, Batik textiles are very integral parts of Javanese culture. The Javanese Batik is the finest of worked. The reason is that they developed in Java possibly in the 17th or 18th century.

Wayang Kulit or shadow puppet is the most influential Javanese art form, the one that traditionally has provided the Javanese with a frame work through with to see the world and themselves.
